Dal 1991 al 1997, Ricercatore Universitario presso la Facoltà di Ingegneria dell'Università di Bologna.
Dal 1997 al 2002, Professore Associato nel settore della Fisica Tecnica Industriale (ING-IND/10) presso il Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Civile dell’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia.Dal 2002 ad oggi, Professore Ordinario di Fisica Tecnica Industriale (ING-IND/10) presso lo stesso Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica e Civile, dal 1° luglio 2012 Dipartimento di Ingegneria “Enzo Ferrari”, dell’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia.
Autore di oltre 100 pubblicazioni scientifiche pubblicate prevalentemente su riviste e atti di convegni internazionali.
