TRAINING COURSE WITH PRACTICUM THE REMEDIATION OF DYSLEXIA Teaching the dyslexic to read and write.
INSTRUCTOR:PAMELA KVILEKVAL, M.A. Special Educator and author of several books and training programs for the remediation of dyslexia in English, Italian, Portuguese.
THE TRAINING INCLUDES:
The identification of the student with specific learning disabilities
The administration of screening tests for children at risk for dyslexia
The administration of diagnostic tests for dyslexia
The interpretation of diagnostic tests for dyslexia
The therapeutic methods for teaching dyslexic and dysgraphic tudents
The instructional materials appropriate for dyslexic and dysgraphic students
The practical multisensory activities for instruction within the Linguistic Structure
The modification of the instructional materials for students of all ages -including adults
The evaluation of the student’s progress
TRAINING COURSE AND PRACTICUM
3 Intensive training days followed by 10 days of continued training 2 hours a day and 4 hours of practicum each day with dyslexic Italian students and with the constant and direct supervision of experienced specialists.
OPEN TO: Competent English speakers who may be: Learning Disabilities Specialists, English Teachers, Speech Therapists, Educational Psychologists.
