Framework Law
The new law was promulgated on 27 April 2023. Framework Law on Higher Education of the Republic of San Marino, an important regulatory instrument that defines the principles, purposes and organization of the Higher Education Institutes of San Marino. The law guarantees freedom of teaching, research and training, promoting international cooperation, student mobility and scientific and cultural innovation.
Thanks to the membership in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the legislation incorporates European standards and instruments, facilitating the recognition of qualifications and ensuring a high level of educational quality. The law enhances central themes such as environmental sustainability, student participation and institutional autonomy, with the aim of contributing to the cultural, social and economic development of the territory.

Statute
The Statute of the University of the Republic of San Marino represents the fundamental document that defines the principles, organizational structure and functions of the University. It outlines the founding values of the University, such as freedom of teaching, research and learning, and promotes the international dimension of the University within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
The Statute also regulates the organization of academic bodies, departments, research centers and service structures, outlining a system aimed at ensuring quality, inclusion and development of knowledge in the cultural, scientific and social fields.
