The legal status of professors at the University of the Republic of San Marino (UNIRSM) is governed by Delegated Decree no. 27/2025, which defines the role profiles (PDR) and the related contractual conditions.
The Decree has established three main role profiles for teaching staff:
- Full University Professor (Documents – Full): can be hired with a permanent or fixed-term multi-year contract.
- Associate University Professor (Documents – Associate): provides for permanent or fixed-term multi-year contracts.
- University Researcher (Ricuni): exclusively fixed-term contracts, not renewable beyond five years.
