Description of the research project
The research project aims to identify the best water resource management strategies in the Republic of San Marino, for the purposes of water supply for ecological, domestic, public, industrial, agricultural and energy use. On the basis of the hydrological analyzes carried out, the possible strategic choices must also be evaluated in terms of economic return on investments.
Research objectives
The research aims to achieve the following objectives:
• Evaluate the water resources of the Republic of San Marino.
• Evaluate the hydraulic safety of the Republic of San Marino.
• Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of interventions aimed at improving the management of water resources for ecological, domestic, public, industrial, agricultural, energy purposes, and for the mitigation of flood risk in the urban and rural territories of the Republic of San Marino.
