Outcome

The Research Center for International Relations of the University of San Marino announces a scholarship for European research and planning activities.

Business:
The scholarship holder, on the recommendation of the Scientific Director and the Coordinator of the Research Center for International Relations, will have the task of:

  • Study the feasibility of projects and activities aimed at the conception, drafting and presentation of European projects;
  • Carry out study and research activities concerning European integration processes, including sources, relevant literature and pertinent documentation;
  • Collaborate directly in the activities of the Research Center for International Relations and the Internationalization office.

The scholarship holder will work at the Research Center for International Relations of the University of San Marino

Duration:
12 months, possibly renewable. The specific activity of the fellow will be defined in agreement with the Scientific Director and the Coordinator of the Research Center for International Relations.

Admission Requirements:

  • three-year degree or master's degree or specialist degree or old system degree;
  • excellent knowledge of the English language (level C1);
  • knowledge of an official language of the European Union other than Italian;
  • age not exceeding 35 years on the date of issue of the notice;
  • citizenship or residence of San Marino;
  • enjoyment of civil and political rights;
  • physical fitness for employment;
  • have not been subjected, with a final judgment, to criminal convictions for an intentional crime which involve restriction of personal freedom for a period of not less than one year or which involve disqualification from public office for the same amount of time;
  • not be forfeited from employment in the Public Administration for one of the causes indicated in article 80 paragraph 1 of Law no. 22 of 1972 December 41;
  • not having been subjected to the disciplinary sanction of dismissal in accordance with the regulations in force;

Presentation of questions:
The questions, drawn up on plain paper on the model of attachment A and accompanied by certificates certifying the admission requirements, together with a detailed curriculum vitae and any certificates, must be received in a closed, sealed and countersigned envelope no later than 12.00 of the day November 17, 2022 by hand delivery at the Internationalization Office, viale Antonio Onofri, 87, 47890 San Marino Città (second floor)from Monday to Friday from 11am to 14pm or sending by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt or by courier. The date of acceptance in protocol of the same at the Internationalization Office will be considered.

In the application, candidates must indicate: surname and name, date and place of birth, personal identification code (ISS code or tax code), residence and domicile, if any, for the delivery of communications relating to the announcement, as well as the e-mail address.
On the envelope containing the application for admission, candidates must indicate: Name and Surname – Notice of Competition for European research and planning activities.

The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
a) copy of the identity document;
b) general criminal record;
c) certificate of pending charges;
d) certificate of enjoyment of civil and political rights;
e) certificate attesting the achievement of the qualification required as a requirement;
f) curriculum of scientific, didactic and professional activity;
g) any additional qualifications, publications and certificates and documents that may constitute an element of evaluation for the activities that the candidate will carry out.
The certificates referred to in letters b), c) and d) can be replaced with a specific declaration signed by the interested party, pursuant to art. 12 of the law of 5 October 2011 n. 159.

Applications that are incomplete, unsigned, those without personal data and those sent after the peremptory deadline will not be accepted.
The university administration assumes no responsibility in the event of: unavailability of the addressee, impossibility of delivery of one's communications and dispersion of communications deriving from inaccurate indication of address by the candidate or failure or late communication of any change in the address indicated by the candidate in the application.
The university administration assumes no responsibility for the failure or late delivery of the application form. The university administration assumes no responsibility for causes deriving from postal or telegraphic errors, or from third parties, or from unforeseeable circumstances, or from force majeure.
The Administration reserves the right to carry out appropriate checks on the truthfulness of the content of the information provided.

Trials and Evaluation:
Candidates will be subjected to a comparative assessment based on the qualifications presented and supplemented by an interview aimed at assessing the level of knowledge and skills required, by an examining commission made up of experts in the matters covered by the service appointed by Rectoral Decree.

The evaluation will be based on the following criteria:

  • Motivation
  • Educational qualifications and marks obtained. The possession of a three-year or master's degree in Political Sciences (LM - 62), International Relations (LM - 52), Economics (LM - 56), European Studies (LM - 90), Historical Sciences (LM - 84) Jurisprudence (LMG – 01), or in related classes as required by law n. 161/2011 attachment 4 will give the right to additional points.
  • Documented research and training activity
  • Publications
  • Knowledge of the organization and management of activities covered by this announcement
  • Fluency in English and one other language as per entry criteria

The Commission's judgment is final.

At the end of the evaluation, the Commission will formulate the merit ranking of the aspiring assignees, which will be exhibited at the Internationalization Office and published on the website of the University of San Marino (www.unirsm.sm).

Acceptance:
The candidate who results first in the ranking must communicate the acceptance of the scholarship within and no later than 5 working days from the publication of the ranking in writing to the Coordinator of the Research Center for International Relations (international@unirsm.sm).
The scholarship holder is required to fully acknowledge and accept, under his own responsibility, the Code of Ethics referred to in Annex "B" of Law No. 25 of 2014 April 67 and not to fall under the conditions of incompatibility set forth in the Ethical code.
In the event of non-acceptance within the established terms, the residual ranking of candidates found to be suitable for the assignment of the position will be drawn.

Insurance and social security treatment:
The University provides, at its own expense, insurance coverage for the scholarship holder for accidents that may occur while carrying out activities on university campuses.

Processing of personal data:
Each of the Parties will be required to comply with their obligations deriving from EU Regulation 679/2016 and from Law 21 of 2018 December 171 (jointly "current regulations on the protection of personal data"), to the extent that they are applicable to the activity research relating to this deed. The information on the processing of personal data carried out by the University of the Republic of San Marino, in its capacity as Data Controller, is freely available and can be downloaded from the appropriate "Privacy" section of the institutional website.
The University of the Republic of San Marino processes data for the purposes indicated in this announcement as well as for purposes related to the fulfillment of administrative procedures and transparent administration.

Remuneration:
The scholarship amounts to €15,000 (fifteen thousand) gross per year and will be paid by the University of San Marino.
The scholarship referred to in this announcement will not determine any employment ties and the related activities will have the exclusive nature of intellectual work. The fellowship holder's activity will follow the working hours agreed with the Research Center for International Relations.
The scholarship does not give rise to social security benefits or assessments for careers in the Public Administration.

Waiver and forfeiture:
In case of renunciation by the interested party, the same must send a formal communication addressed to the Director of the Research Center, by ordinary post or by email to the address: international@unirsm.sm. Failure to comply with the requests of the Scientific Director of the Research Center will cause forfeiture of the scholarship assignment.
The Commission has the right to revoke the assignment of the scholarship following the notification, by the competent Coordinator, of behavior by the scholarship holder that is incompatible with the normal performance of the activity covered by the scholarship or in failure to comply with the rules established by the Law 25 April 2014 n.67 and related regulations.
