The Council of the University of San Marino with its resolution dated 19/07/2016, pursuant to Law no. 25 of 2014 April 67, announces a call for applications for the assignment of no. 1 Scholarship to carry out activities in the management (Station Manager) of the University radio USMARADIO.
AACTIVITYÀ
The Fellow, on the basis of the directives issued by the University governance and under the supervision of the Office in charge, will have the task of:
Station Manager of the university radio USMARADIO and will be responsible for:
- manage the radio on a daily basis, creating podcasts, programming, program coordination, text editing, multi-track audio editing, conducting;
- support the Radio Director, the Communications Office and the heads of the Departments to build a dynamic and well-connected network;
- return what has been done, studied and proposed in the form of a report.
The research activity carried out following the use of a scholarship does not constitute any type of employment relationship (full-time or part-time) or self-employment.
DURATE AND AMOUNT:
The scholarship has a duration of 12 months, for a total amount of €15.000,00.
The activity covered by the grant is only interrupted during periods of absence due to duly proven maternity leave or prolonged illness. During these periods, the disbursement of the scholarship is suspended.
Scholarship holders are in any case required to notify the structure of the occurrence of the aforementioned conditions as soon as they are ascertained. The activity continues for the remaining period, starting again from the date of termination of the cause of suspension.
RADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The scholarship is intended for individuals who meet the following requirements:
- citizenship or residence of San Marino;
- not older than 35 years
- enjoyment of civil and political rights;
- absence of criminal convictions and pending charges;
- master's degree or degree in the field of communication (classes LM19, LM59, LM92, L03, L20), or degree with a university master's degree in the field of communication, journalism or design, or, alternatively, a degree.
- English mother tongue or Italian-English bilingualism; alternatively excellent knowledge of the English language verified through an interview and on-site tests.
The ideal candidate is a graduate with excellent skills in radio in all its components, in communication in Italian and English, mastery of cross-media communication techniques, in possession of adequate operational tools to manage the radio on a daily basis University, marked propensity to interface with the public, good dialectic skills and developed IT knowledge.
PRETURN OF APPLICATIONS
To participate in this announcement, the candidate must submit an express application, drawn up on unstamped paper and signed in the original, containing: name and surname of the candidate, place and date of birth, residence and possible domicile for the delivery of communications relating to the announcement, address e-mail address and any other necessary data.
The candidate must also declare that he has read and accepted all the conditions set out in this announcement.
The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
- certificate of citizenship or residence of San Marino;
- general criminal certificate;
- certificate of pending charges;
- certificate of enjoyment of civil and political rights;
- certificate attesting the achievement of the qualification required as a requirement;
- certificate of proficiency in English level B2 or higher according to the CEFR (FCE level C or higher, lELTS band score ≥ 5.5, TOEFL iBT score ≥ 72);
- curriculum vitae as per the Europass model;
- any additional qualifications, publications and certificates and documents that may constitute an element of evaluation for the activities that the scholarship holder will carry out.
The certificates referred to in letters a), b), c) and d) can be replaced with a specific declaration signed by the interested party, pursuant to art. 12 of the law of 5 October 2011 n. 159.
Applications must be sent in a sealed envelope by registered mail or hand delivered to the Office of the Rectorate of the University of San Marino, Contrada Omerelli, n.20, 47890 San Marino, by 12 noon on 31 August 2016.
The name of the sender must be specified on the envelope and indicated "Application for admission to the scholarship selection call for the University Radio".
PROVE E VALUTATION
The Commission, appointed with the Rector's resolution, after verifying the admission requirements, will evaluate the candidate's practical test, interview and qualifications.
In the practical test, candidates will have to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the radio medium and be able to manage a radio station in all its components.
The interview is aimed at ascertaining the general knowledge, the specific skills required and the linguistic skills.
General knowledge:
- Law 25 April 2014, n. 67 – Framework law on university education;
- current issues concerning the academic world.
Specific skills:
- ability to manage radio stations by combining traditional media with new media (websites, social media, virtual communities);
- Thorough radio training and experience in all radio roles from hosting to editing. Able, among other things, to edit a jingle, make an announcement and very good knowledge of multi-track audio editing programs:
- in-depth knowledge of both Mac/Win systems and excellent social management skills;
- ability to move independently in the activities to be carried out;
- communication skills.
Language skills:
- English native speaker or English-Italian bilingualism; alternatively excellent knowledge of the English language.
At the conclusion of the interviews, the Commission, based on the outcome of the practical test and the interviews and on the assessment of qualifications, draws up the final merit ranking of the suitable candidates, attributing the following scores:
Practice Test:
- multitrack audio editing: up to 15 points out of 100;
- web article in English: up to 15 points out of 100;
- radio news: up to 15 points out of 100.
Interview:
- general knowledge: up to 5 points out of 100;
- specific skills: up to 10 points out of 100;
- language skills: up to 10 points out of 100.
Titles:
- qualification required as a requirement: up to 15 points out of 100 divided as follows:
Degree mark:
- from 93 to 110 – 0,5 points for each grade above 92;
- 110 cum laude – 10 points;
Specific educational qualification (degree in classes LM19, LM59, LM92, L20) or university master's degree in communication or journalism – 5 points;
- additional academic and study qualifications and certifications obtained: up to 5 points out of 100;
- curriculum vitae, with particular regard to the affinity of the training course and any work experience with the purposes of the scholarship: up to 10 points out of 100.
The ranking will be displayed at the University headquarters.
AACCEPTANCE
The Candidate who results first in the ranking must communicate the acceptance of the scholarship by
and no later than 5 working days from the publication of the ranking with a registered letter, sent to the Rector of the University, or with the direct presentation of the same. The beginning of the activities relating to the scholarship must be agreed with the University bodies and must in any case take place within 30 days of the date of acceptance, under penalty of forfeiture.
RANNOUNCEMENT AND DECADENCE
In the event of renunciation by the assignee, forfeiture due to non-acceptance of the scholarship or failure to start activities, the ranking will be scrolled.
The granting of the scholarship will be forfeited by non-compliance with the indications of the relevant offices or bodies of the University or behavior by the scholarship holder that is incompatible with the normal performance of the activity covered by the scholarship.
