HAVING SEEN the Resolutions of the Academic Senate in the meeting of 31 July 2025 (Minutes 06/2025) and of the University Council in the meeting of 30 July 2025 (Minutes 06/2025) with which the proposal to announce this public selection procedure is approved;

Art.1 – Announcement of the public selection procedure
A public selection process is hereby announced for the temporary appointment of one PDR RICUNI (Fixed-Term Researcher) at the Department of Economics, Science, Engineering, and Design, in the scientific-disciplinary group, competitive sector, and scientific-disciplinary sector as specified below:

Competition sector: 08/C1 – ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGICAL PLANNING
Specific functions that the RESEARCHER will have to perform through the indication of one or more scientific disciplinary sectors and within the research scope consistent with the DESID Department's planning: The RESEARCHER will perform his/her duties in the areas provided for by the SSD: CEAR-08/D – DESIGN Competition Sector: 08/CEAR-08 – DESIGN, ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY, TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE AND MANAGEMENT OF THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT of the DESID Department. The research areas are defined in accordance with the Italian regulations set out in Annex B of Ministerial Decree 855/2015.
The RESEARCH FELLOW will have to carry out his/her duties in the areas envisaged by the sector CEAR-08/D – DESIGN; macro sector 08/CEAR-08 – DESIGN, ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGY, TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE AND BUILT ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT of the DESID Department. In defining the research areas, reference is made to the Italian declarations referred to in Annex b of Ministerial Decree 855/2015.
Type of teaching and scientific commitment: The researcher will investigate and deepen the relationship between design culture and visual representation, particularly how these influence contemporary social and political dimensions. They will develop and apply knowledge and methodologies specific to communication design to explore the contribution of design in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary contexts, with a particular focus on experimentation and research through new technologies applied to visual design, which today characterize communication across various media. Through their investigation, the researcher will address thematic areas of increasing relevance for the well-being of individuals, the environment, and communities, with the aim of applying their research work to institutional, corporate, and public utility contexts. The position involves theoretical and applied research, teaching related to the above-mentioned field, and participation in interuniversity collaborations. Teaching commitments will focus on the themes specific to the SSD CEAR-08/D within the Bachelor's and Master's Degree Programs in DESIGN of the DESID Department.

The researcher will address, through his investigation, thematic areas of increasing relevance for the well-being of the individual, the environment and communities with the aim of applying his research work in institutional, business and public utility contexts. The role includes both theoretical and applied research activities, as well as the responsibility for teaching subjects related to the above fields and participation in interuniversity collaboration activities. The teaching commitment will focus on topics within SSD CEAR-08/D as part of the Bachelor's and Master's Degree programs in DESIGN within the DESID Department.

To participate in the public selection procedure, the candidate must produce, under penalty of exclusion, within and no later than 30 days from the day following the date of publication of the notice of this call on the website of the University of the Republic of San Marino (www.unirsm.sm) in the section “UNIVERSITY – NOTICES, COMPETITIONS AND SELECTIONS”, or no later than 12.00 on October 2, 2025, specific application, drawn up on plain paper addressed to the Rector of the University of the Republic of San Marino.
