NOTICE OF COMPETITION FOR 1 SCHOLARSHIP
The Department of San Marino History, Culture and History of the University of San Marino announces a scholarship for research activities, educational activities aimed at schools and enhancement of the museum proposal.
Activities
On the recommendation of the Scientific Director of the Department of History, Culture and History of San Marino and the Head of the Emigration Research Center - Museo dell'Emigrante, the scholarship holder will have the task of:
- Collaborate in the planning and conduct of museum educational activities aimed at schools;
- Collaborate in research projects concerning the history and memory of San Marino emigration, which will be carried out in collaboration with San Marino institutions and the communities of San Marino citizens residing abroad;
- Collaborate in the activities of the Emigrant Museum and implement its valorisation.
The scholarship holder will carry out his/her activity at the Center for research on emigration – Museo dell'Emigrante.
Duration:
12 months, possibly renewable. The activity of the scholarship holder will be defined in agreement with the Scientific Director of the Department and the Head of the Center for Research on Emigration - Museo dell'Emigrante.
Admission Requirements:
- citizenship or residence of San Marino;
- enjoyment of civil and political rights;
- absence of criminal convictions and pending charges;
- Bachelor's Degree in History
- Have carried out museum teaching activities;
- Knowledge of English and, optionally, French and/or Spanish.
- Professional qualification as Tourist Guide;
Presentation of questions:
Applications, drawn up on plain paper and accompanied by certificates certifying the admission requirements, together with a detailed curriculum vitae and any certificates, must be sent no later than 12 noon on 3 November 2017 at the office of the Department of History, Culture and San Marino History of the University of San Marino, Contrada Omerelli, 20, 47890 San Marino City, Republic of San Marino.
The Examining Commission will be appointed by resolution of the Director of the Department
Trials and Evaluation:
The candidates, whose qualifications will be positively evaluated, will be admitted to an interview aimed at ascertaining the knowledge and skills relating to the above-mentioned areas of activity. Knowledge of the English language and, at the candidate's choice, of French and/or Spanish will also be assessed.
The Commission will draw up a ranking, displayed at the Department of History, Culture and History of San Marino, on the basis of the documentation delivered and the outcome of the interview.
Remuneration:
The scholarship amounts to €7.500,00 (seven thousand five hundred euros) gross and will be paid by the University of San Marino.
The scholarship does not give rise to social security benefits or assessments for careers in the Public Administration.
Acceptance:
The candidate who results first in the ranking must communicate the acceptance of the scholarship no later than 2 working days from the publication of the ranking with a registered letter, sent to the Department of History, Culture and History of San Marino, or with the presentation of the same at the Department.
Waiver and forfeiture:
Failure to comply with the requests of the Scientific Director of the Department will cause forfeiture of the award of the scholarship.
The Commission has the right to revoke the award of the scholarship following the notification, by the competent Coordinator, of behavior by the scholarship holder that is incompatible with the normal performance of the activity covered by the scholarship.
