The following Call for Applications is aimed at recent graduates of the University of the Republic of San Marino and Italian universities holding a three-year degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (class L-7 Civil and Environmental Engineering established by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research).
Art. 1: Definition of the initiative
The professional profile of Civil Engineer boasts a long-standing tradition, based on high-level cultural and technical training, focused on topics of great relevance and interest. In a constantly evolving sector such as building, construction, and environmental protection, employment prospects are significant and constantly growing.
With the aim of promoting academic excellence and fostering the development of innovative ideas, the Civil and Environmental Engineering Degree Programs at the University of the Republic of San Marino are promoting a competition to recognize the best undergraduate theses, defended during the 2025-2026 degree sessions, in various areas of civil and environmental engineering, including hydraulics, structures, geotechnics, seismic infrastructure design, transportation, energy management, construction site management and organization, environmental sustainability, land-use planning, and other related disciplines.
The total prize money amounts to € 2.000,00 and will be divided, at the sole discretion of the Jury, into four prizes of equal amount, each of the value of € 500,00, assigned as follows:
Award 1 – €500,00 funded by the University of the Republic of San Marino
Award 2 – €500,00 funded by the University of the Republic of San Marino
Award 3 – €500,00 funded by the College of Steel Technicians
Award 4 – €500,00 financed by La Matassina Srl
The Jury also reserves the right to award honorable mentions to particularly worthy theses, without monetary compensation, but with formal recognition of the scientific or innovative value of the submitted work.
