Biographical profile

In 2004 he obtained a degree in Clinical and Community Psychology at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna and in 2006 he obtained the qualification to practice as a Psychologist and registered with the Order of Psychologists of Emilia Romagna. In 2009, again in Bologna, he completed the School of Specialization in Health Psychology and obtained the qualification of Psychotherapist. In 2016 you registered with the Order and Register of Psychologists of the Republic of San Marino.

In 2017 he obtained the 1st and 2nd level EMDR Operator certification and in 2020 he obtained the training certificate as an Operator with Violent Men.

From 2009 to 2019 he held the role of Freelance Psychologist Collaborator for the clinical services of the Department of Psychology - University of Bologna. During these years he carried out his functions at the AOU Sant'Orsola Malpighi of Bologna – “Cescon” General and Transplant Surgery Operating Unit (ex Prof. AD Pinna), at the Transplant Day Hospital – Internal Medicine for the Treatment of Severe “Morelli” Organ Failure and the AOU Sant'Orsola Malpighi of Bologna – “Rapezzi” Cardiology Day Hospital (ex. Prof Branzi). In these contexts he provided psychological support to patients awaiting transplants and transplanted patients, took care of the psychological-clinical evaluation of the patient, and conducted individual interviews with patients and caregivers aimed at modifying lifestyles and targeted motivational interviews to therapeutic adherence. Furthermore, he participated in team meetings with doctors and nursing staff aimed at planning and managing the patients' therapeutic process, both from a medical and psychological point of view.

In the same period it has established close relationships with organ transplant associations (ATCOM, ANTR, ANTFGG) and with donor associations (AIDO, AVIS, FIDAS) for the creation and management of educational interventions for high school students and professionals in Bologna on the topic of organ, tissue and homopoietic cell donation. Collaboration which took shape in the "Una Selta Consapevole" laboratory contained in the "Permanent European Laboratory for Safety" at the Serpieri Agricultural Institute in Bologna.

From 2017 to 2019, again at the Sant'Orsola-Malpighi University Hospital in Bologna, he acted as Tutor for a professional training internship in Psychology.

From 2016 to 2019 he attended the San Marino ISS Mental Health Center as a voluntary psychologist and psychotherapist.

Since 2017 he has been working as a freelance Psychologist Psychotherapist at the SH Polyclinic in San Marino where he also collaborates with the Oncology Service of Dr. MariaRosa Di Fazio providing consultancy and psychological support to cancer patients and their caregivers.

Since 2019 he has been a founding member of the "Associazione Confine" of San Marino, a non-profit association that deals with mistreating men and gender violence, plans awareness-raising interventions to combat violence and training courses.

Finally, he has participated in several conferences/congresses as a speaker, dealing with topics ranging from the integrated psychological approach in organic pathologies and alcoholology, up to the psychological aspects of the nutrition of fragile patients.

  • November 26, 2021 – MEN, STEREOTYPES AND VIOLENCE. Towards an assumption of responsibility. Training promoted by the Border Association and UNIRSM for San Marino law enforcement agencies (Gendarmerie and Civil Police).
