The ability to read digital economics, knowledge of how startups work, and strategies for surviving in a highly competitive market are useful notions for students who intend to work in the digital media sector. The course outlines how to develop a business plan to implement your own entrepreneurial project.

Course content
The course illustrates the functioning of the company in particular
startups and spinoffs, the principles of management, strategy and organization.
Particular attention is paid to the conception and development of innovative projects: building a market analysis and evaluating
correctly the key trends and opportunities of
market, seek funding, identify and manage stakeholders, build a creative and participatory team
develop a marketing plan and budget
of the project. The students, in groups, are asked to create a business plan for their business idea.

Assessment methods and criteria
− discussion with students of the course objectives and evaluation criteria
− written exam with closed and open questions (50% of the final grade). Open questions are evaluated (according to defined criteria) from 0 to 3 points and closed questions by 1 point. A score lower than 17 is equivalent to insufficient.
− evaluation of the business plan (50% of the final grade) according to defined and illustrated criteria.
