2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Danilo Dolci (1924-1997).
Sweets, sociologist, poet, educator and anti-mafia and non-violence activist, he was called to San Marino by the then Secretary of State for Public Education, Fausta Morganti, where he worked on a Manifesto of pedagogy for non-violence with the aim of founding the University of Peace; a project that unfortunately did not come to fruition.
The seminar dedicated to him is divided into three sections: the first with a more "historical" look, to present, through the words of his daughters, friends and friends, the theoretical and practical works of this master, the second with a focus on the actualization of his teaching in daily educational practice with particular reference to his intervention in San Marino, the third on how to tell Danilo Dolci and his thought with the screening of the film "Danilo Dolci: Memory and Utopia" in the presence of the director Alberto Castiglione.
The evening will end with Giuseppe Semeraro's show "Fasting in front of the sea".
The seminar is open to the public.
