The three-year degree course in Communication and Digital Media offers a unique study program to learn about and know how to manage digital communication tools with a view to a path that is in step with the times and updated in a constantly evolving reality. The teaching staff, made up of academics and professionals engaged in this sector, represents an ideal combination to accompany students in a high-profile experience with relevant opportunities for their future career.

The lessons of the Bachelor's Degree Course in Communication and Digital Media take place in the headquarters of the Department of Human Sciences and in the main building of the University of San Marino, in the historic centre, a few steps away from the main University offices and the most useful services to students: libraries, bus terminal, cable car, canteen, museums, gardens, other services.

The course is organized in collaboration with Alma Mater – University of Bologna. The titles issued are valid in Italy, San Marino and in the European Union.

FAQ

What are the methods of accessing the course?
To be admitted to the Degree Course in Communication and Digital Media it is necessary to pass a selection test. 60 students are admitted each year.
The limited number allows to guarantee an optimal relationship between students and teachers in the laboratory activities, in the exercises and in the concrete applications of the concepts and theories illustrated during the frontal teaching.
The pre-enrollment procedure, the call for admission and all the information on the 2023/2024 selection test will be published shortly in the appropriate section pre-registrations of the Student Secretariat.

What are the entry requirements to be admitted to the course?
To be admitted to the Degree Course in Communication and Digital Media it is necessary to have obtained a five-year high school diploma or another qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable. Alternatively, it is necessary to have obtained a four-year high school diploma and the related supplementary year or, if no longer active (magical institutes), the assigned educational debit.

In addition, you must have:

  • good general culture;
  • good logic and reasoning skills;
  • good ability to read, understand and interpret texts and documents in Italian;
  • good written and oral expression skills in Italian;
  • good skills in using the computer and surfing the Internet;
  • moderate ability to read, understand and interpret texts in English (corresponding to level A2).

Does the Degree Course require compulsory attendance?
The Degree Course in Communication and Digital Media requires attendance of 75% of the total hours of frontal teaching for each course.

Does the University of San Marino provide scholarships for its students?
Scholarships are provided for merit and family income, divided by degree course and by year of course, with partial coverage of the enrollment fees.

What legal value does the awarded qualification have?
The Degree Course awards a double degree from the University of the Republic of San Marino and the University of Bologna, legally valid in San Marino, in Italy and in Europe.

In the first semester of the third year, students enrolled in the three-year degree course in Communication and Digital Media participate in an exchange with the University of Bologna, inserting 30 credits (CFU) in their study plan chosen from the courses scheduled for the third year of Communication Sciences (Unibo).
At the end of the period, Unirsm male and female students will return to San Marino, to complete the third year lessons at Unirsm and prepare their degree thesis.
