Biographical profile

Alessandro Piccari is a digital advertising professional with years of experience in communication agencies.
He developed an interest in communication at the University of Bologna, where he studied Semiotics, Marketing and New Media. After a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and an Erasmus at the Department of Cognitive Science at the University of Aarhus (Denmark), he obtained a Master's degree in Semiotics with a thesis in SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
During his university years, Alessandro did an internship at JacLeRoi, a communications agency in Parma specializing in Food & Beverage. Here he became a Social Media Manager, taking care of Accounting and Project Management for clients such as Delverde and SanPatrignano.
He then joined Hibo, a creative agency in Bologna, as Account Manager and Project Manager, working with clients such as Lamborghini, Ferrari and Poltronesofà.
After 5 years at Hibo, he worked as a Strategist at the Geneva office of Weber Shandwick, part of the IPG Group, collaborating with clients such as Caterpillar, Abbott, Novartis and Audemars Piguet.
After 10 years in communication agencies, since February 2024 he has been working as a Digital Strategist at Caterpillar in Geneva, adding professional experience also from a corporate point of view.
