Luca Gorgolini

Biographical profile

Luca Gorgolini is Associate Professor of Contemporary History at the University of the Republic of San Marino (Historical and Legal Department) where he teaches Digital Media and Disinformation and Contemporary History and Digital Society. He is a professor of History of Armed Conflicts at the Military Academy of Modena (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Degree Course in Strategic Sciences, Department of Legal Sciences).

He graduated in Contemporary History at the University of Bologna in March 2000. In June 2007 he obtained a PhD in history and computer science at the University of Bologna. From April 2006 to March 2011 and from December 2011 to November 2012 he was a research fellow at the University of Bologna, Rimini Campus. From October 2018 to September 2019 he was a temporary researcher at the University of the Republic of San Marino.

From November 2010 to February 2012 he was Director of the Institute of Contemporary History of the province of Pesaro and Urbino. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Contemporary History of the province of Pesaro and Urbino. He is a member of the scientific council of the Institute for the History of Resistance and Contemporary Italy of the Province of Rimini.

He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Higher School of Historical Studies of the University of San Marino. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Centro Studi Gramsciani (University of San Marino). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Renato Zangheri Study Center.

He is a member of the editorial staff of the history and historiography magazine "Storia & Futuro". He is part of the management committee of the magazine “Clionet. For a sense of time and place." He is a member of the scientific committee of the "Bulletin of the Archive of the Historical Office of the Army General Staff".

He is part of the scientific committee of the “Critica historical” series (Il Mulino) and of the management committee of the “OttocentoDuemila” series (Bologna University Press).
