Last November Confucius announced, with the degree course in Design, a competition for the visual identity of the 50th anniversary of the official relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of San Marino.
For the first time, not only students from San Marino but also students from Beijing City University, one of the most important universities in the city of Beijing, were invited to participate.
The aim of the competition was both to stimulate students to present their ideas and to consolidate relations with Chinese academic institutions.
The students had to devise thevisual identity of all communications and merchandising of the celebrations and a poster dedicated to the friendship between San Marino and China. Finally, they were asked to think about a possible commemorative stamp that will be printed by our Philatelic Office on 1st JUNE.
It was an important step that has allowed today to have beautiful graphics of the celebrations, but above all to get to know each other and strengthen the ties between teachers and students, to start a discourse of common interest such as that of graphics, to compare two different but eager to influence each other.
Surely this will be the beginning of a fruitful cooperation relationship which we hope will also extend to other universities in the People's Republic of China.
