Design Week

Three public conferences are being held as part of the week-long workshop "Design for Communities — Innovation at the Heart of the Project," organized by the Design Degree Programs at the University of the Republic of San Marino. The presentation took place this morning in the Aula Magna of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, with the participation of Massimo Brignoni, professor and program coordinator, and the Secretary of State for Education, Giuseppe Morganti.

The initiative, which kicks off today with eight workshops open to 180 participants, will feature a series of conferences in the late afternoons of July 12, 13, and 14, from 8:18 PM to 19:30 PM, featuring nine designers invited to present the contents of the "Design Week." On Tuesday, in the Aula Magna of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, Lucia Roscini, Andrea Medri, Elisa Pasqual, and Dario Scodeller will speak, while on Wednesday, Erika Cunico and Mirco Piccin will speak. Finally, on Thursday, Nidaa Badwan, Alice Cappelli, and Raffaella Brunzin will speak. The talks will be moderated, respectively, by Gianni Sinni, Michele Zannoni, and Riccardo Varini, professors of the Design Degree Programs at the University of San Marino.

"The workshops are now in their tenth year and are growing every year," Morganti stated, "making the University a tool for the economy and society. With events like this, the University transcends classrooms and transcends the concept of classroom-based learning." The final works will be on display on Saturday, July 16th, starting at 10:30 a.m.
