The Interuniversity Research Center for "Studies on Tradition" was born from the collaboration between theUniversity of Bari Aldo Moro, the University of the Republic of San Marino, Department of San Marino cultural history and history andUniversity of Padua.

The Center continues the scientific activity of the deactivated Interdepartmental Center for Studies on Tradition, promoting the aggregation of scholars on the great theme of tradition, with particular reference to the tradition of classical civilization, late antiquity and ancient Christianity. Object of research are the survivals of the classical tradition in the Middle Ages and modern times, especially in the humanistic-Renaissance era, an authentic hub for the transmission of ancient works and the recovery and dissemination of a vast theoretical heritage in the historiographical, philosophical, literary, artistic, juridical fields .
