The inauguration ceremony for the 2016-2017 academic year, scheduled for Tuesday, October 4, at 15:15 p.m. in the Kursaal del Titano Congress Center, will coincide with the awarding of an Honorary Degree in Design by the University of the Republic of San Marino to Donald Arthur Norman, psychologist and engineer, a leading figure in the study of ergonomics and design from the perspective of the cognitive process.
Author of research and articles translated into twelve languages, the American has made a significant contribution to the scientific community, playing a primary role in the transformation of design.
His Lectio Magistralis, entitled “The Future of Design,” will be preceded by remarks from the University Rector, Corrado Petrocelli, the Secretary of State for Education, Giuseppe Morganti, the Director of the Department of Economics, Science, and Law, Anna Corradi, and the Director of the Master's Degree in Design, Michele Zannoni.
The ceremony will be held in the Sala Titano of the Kursaal Congress Center, at Viale Kennedy 17, San Marino City. Admission is free.
