Updating Values — FutureDesignEd 2020 is the second edition of the FutureDesignEd Symposium – Innovation in Design Education, Innovation in Education by Design, an academic research project promoted by the Design degree courses of the University of Bologna with the aim of observing the ongoing transformations on education in the design.
The 2020 edition, hosted by the University of the Republic of San Marino, will take place on 16-17 January 2020 at the Kursaal Congress Center — City of San Marino (RSM).
Focusing on the two tracks “Student centered design education” and “Future centered design education”, the two-day Symposium is an opportunity for students, educators, researchers, professionals and businesses to explore contemporary agendas, emerging directions and future challenges in education in design, giving voice to the strategies and motivations behind innovation in the curriculum of design universities, but also to alternative training programs based on approaches and tools of design cultures.
The symposium will explore the topics through the critical contribution of the speakers, through the presentation of the results of the survey carried out and through a final co-design workshop aimed at drafting the manifesto for the future design education.
