Short Bio profile

Born in November 1982 in Scandiano (RE).

He obtained a master's degree (with honours) in Mechanical Engineering for the Food Industry at the University of Parma.

In 2013 he completed the PhD course in Operations and Project Management at the Department of Industrial Engineering of Parma, discussing the thesis entitled "Hybrid production planning and control systems: towards an application of lean manufacturing to the Make-up sector". To-Order”.

Since 2013, Giovanni Romagnoli has been employed as a research fellow at the same Department and, since 2015, he has been Researcher (TD) at the Department of Engineering and Architecture.

From December 2019 to July 2022 he was the local scientific coordinator of the project DigiLab4U.

He is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Industrial Engineering Computations (www.growingscience.com/ijiec/ijiec.html) and is part of the scientific committees of some international conferences. Some of his works have been rewarded by the scientific community with international recognition.

His research interests include virtual and remote laboratory network initiatives, RFID and supply chain management, production planning and control systems, improvements and applications of lean manufacturing, and have led to more than 60 papers, published in journals internationally or presented at international conferences.
