The primary objective of the course is to develop skills that allow the student to understand the production process of a mechanical component within an industrial context starting from the information present in the mechanical drawing of the part.

By the end of the course, students should have acquired key knowledge regarding the structure and operating principles of a simulator, including: analysis of the context to be virtually reproduced, statistical analysis of the data describing the process, tools for developing a simulator of the analyzed process, analysis of the data obtained from the simulation process, and optimization of operating levers to improve process performance.

During the internship period, the student has the opportunity to gain experience in a private (companies, professional studios, engineering company) or public organization. Furthermore, the student will be able to take part in the extensive research activity carried out by professors and researchers, conducted in collaboration with universities and international research institutes.
The internship is supervised by a professor in charge of the University.
