The Master's degree course in Management Engineering (class LM-31) of the University of the Republic of San Marino is active starting from the a.y. 2018/2019, by virtue of an agreement stipulated with the University of Parma. The course guarantees the student who has successfully completed the training course the issue of a "double degree" degree by the University of Parma and the University of San Marino, legally valid both in Italy and in the Republic of San Marino.

The master's degree course in Management Engineering aims to train an engineer capable of understanding and managing the systemic problems that characterize the life of companies. The course aims to train a graduate who is culturally prepared both in terms of technology and economics/management.

Specific objectives concern:

  • The creation of a figure with a solid background in the sectors that characterize the management of the enterprise system divided into its various sub-components (logistics, production, marketing, finance, administration and control).
  • In-depth analysis of analytical and interpretative models of the nature of inter-organisational supply chain relationships (supply chain management and extended information systems) and of the analysis of the environment in which the company operates (financial system, competitive system, regulatory/institutional system ).

Graduates in Management Engineering will possess a solid knowledge of business integration and coordination technologies and qualitative-quantitative methodologies to support business decisions. This advanced instrumentation can profitably be applied to the management of production systems and innovation projects in which the organizational variable plays a highly critical role, as well as to the management of commercial and financial problems with respect to which technical-scientific knowledge appears to be an essential condition for the effectiveness of the operate.

The training course is divided into two teaching periods for each academic year.

During the two-year period, the student will attend a teaching period (lasting approximately one semester) at the University of Parma, taking the exams required by the study plan, corresponding to 30 credits.

During the two-year period, the training experience of the internship is also foreseen, which has among its main purposes that of facilitating job placement and professional choices through direct knowledge of the world of work. This experience is favored by the numerous connections between the University and local companies.

On the basis of the aforementioned Convention between the University of the Republic of San Marino and the University of Parma, the student who successfully completes the training course will be awarded a "double title" degree, legally valid both in Italy and in the Republic of San Marino.

These graduates will then be able to:

  • continue academic studies at any other Italian (or European) university, by enrolling in a 1st or 2nd level University Master's degree or undertake Research Doctorate courses, in accordance with the individual teaching regulations (and possibly with the legislation of the individual foreign countries other than Italy).
  • complete the university career by entering the world of work.

Access to the degree course is free (there is no limited number).

Students in possession of a degree or a three-year university diploma or other qualification obtained abroad, recognized as suitable, with a degree grade of not less than 85/110 and who have ascertained possession of the curricular requirements according to the methods specified in the study program regulations: Curricular requirements
