Learning objectives

The course aims to provide students with the main basic tools of statistical analysis, in order to be able to perform analyses and interpret the results.

Expected learning outcomes

The course aims to provide basic methodological knowledge and statistical tools useful for understanding and organically analyzing complex realities.

Course content

Definition of statistics and its divisions.
Fields of application of statistics.
The phases of a research in statistics.
The data matrix and the measurement level of the variables.
Statistical tables and their classification.
The graphic representations.
Centrality indices.
Variability indices.
Correlation and regression.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of mathematics
