Programme
MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS
Inequalities: first and second degree inequalities, fractional rational inequalities, inequalities with absolute value, irrational inequalities, systems of inequalities. Graphical inequalities. Examples and exercises.
Powers, properties. Division between polynomials, decomposition of polynomials. Notable products. Review of analytical geometry. Examples and exercises.
Elements of goniometry: the sine, cosine, tangent functions. Relationship between angles and arcs. Exponential function and logarithmic function. Examples and exercises.
INFORMATICA
The course aims to teach students the use of Microsoft Word and Excel applications, essential for their university career.
We begin with the basics, familiarizing ourselves with the interfaces of both software programs, then move on to introduce the basic features, and finally to the more complex ones. The goal of the course is to enable students to achieve mastery and independence, even if basic, of the two IT tools.
GEOMETRY
Introduction to systems of linear equations. Methods for solving linear systems and geometric interpretation. Examples and exercises.
PHYSICS
Physics and Measurements. Significant Figures. Scientific Notation. Vectors. Sum and Difference of Vectors. Scalar and Vector Products.
How to participate
All interested students are invited to participate, even if not yet formally enrolled.
The lessons, free and optional, will take place in person at the headquarters of SMHUB (Tower B, third floor – via Consiglio dei Sessanta 99, 47891 Dogana – RSM), with the possibility of remote connection for students at branch offices.
