Introduction

The Degree Program in Management Engineering (class L–9) at the University of the Republic of San Marino has been open since the 2012/2013 academic year, pursuant to an agreement with the University of Parma. Starting in the 2025/2026 academic year, a new agreement has been signed with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The program guarantees students who successfully complete the program a double degree from the University of San Marino and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, legally valid in the Republic of San Marino, Italy, and Europe.

The degree program aims to provide a solid basic scientific preparation, complemented by a comprehensive overview of the main technical issues and engineering methods needed to address and resolve the typical challenges of management engineering.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will possess skills that enable them to successfully enter a variety of professional fields, including: business process reengineering, development of decision support models and systems, designing organizational structures and relationships between companies and the market, configuring planning and control systems, managing complex projects, production and distribution, as well as quality, safety, and industrial and service marketing.
The training acquired also allows you to independently develop further specialist skills.

The three-year degree course represents, at the same time, the natural access to the Master's Degree Course in Engineering Management , which delves into the central themes of the discipline in a more advanced way.

 

Pursuant to the aforementioned agreement between the University of the Republic of San Marino and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, students who successfully complete the course will be awarded a double degree, legally valid in the Republic of San Marino, Italy, and Europe.

These graduates will then be able to:

  • continue your studies by enrolling in the Master's Degree Course in Engineering Management of the University of the Republic of San Marino (also provided in agreement with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in "double degree" mode)
  • continue academic studies at any other Italian (or European) university, by enrolling in a Master's Degree Course or a 1st level University Master's Degree in accordance with the individual teaching regulations (and possibly with the legislation of individual foreign countries other than 'Italy)
  • complete the university career by entering the world of work.

Access to the degree course is free (there is no limited number).

Students in possession of a high school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable can enroll in the degree course.

He is responsible for planning, managing and controlling the activities related to the procurement, inventory management and distribution processes of finished products. Simultaneously with these objectives, it conceives and evaluates the costs and benefits of innovations in the field of supply and distribution logistics and warehouse management.

This figure typically works within manufacturing companies (usually of medium-large size) and deals with the analysis of production processes, the planning of intervention plans aimed at improving the production organization. It has the task of optimizing the factors and processes that contribute to production with a view to "lean production" by introducing production and organizational methods to achieve efficiency and productivity improvement objectives.
