The Degree Program in Management Engineering (class L–9) at the University of the Republic of San Marino has been open since the 2012/2013 academic year, pursuant to an agreement with the University of Parma. Starting in the 2025/2026 academic year, a new agreement has been signed with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The program guarantees students who successfully complete the program a double degree from the University of San Marino and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, legally valid in the Republic of San Marino, Italy, and Europe.
Learning outcomes
The program aims to provide a solid scientific foundation combined with an overview of technical issues and engineering methods for problem-solving in the professional field of management engineering. The level of skills achieved at the end of the program will enable graduates to enter and operate in highly diverse and specialized fields, including business process reengineering, development of decision support models, systems, and applications, design of organizational systems and procedures for interaction between companies and between companies and buyers of goods and services, configuration of planning and control systems for operational and financial activities, operational management of complex projects, production and distribution management, quality and safety management, and industrial and service marketing.
The general preparation provided allows the graduate to acquire, even independently, further specific skills. At the same time, the three-year degree course has the essential function of preparing the Master's Degree Course in Engineering Management which provides a more complete and in-depth expertise on the core topics of Management Engineering.
Title issued
Pursuant to the aforementioned agreement between the University of the Republic of San Marino and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, students who successfully complete the course will be awarded a double degree, legally valid in the Republic of San Marino, Italy, and Europe.
These graduates will then be able to:
- continue your studies by enrolling in the Master's Degree Course in Engineering Management of the University of the Republic of San Marino (also provided in agreement with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in "double degree" mode)
- continue academic studies at any other Italian (or European) university, by enrolling in a Master's Degree Course or a 1st level University Master's Degree in accordance with the individual teaching regulations (and possibly with the legislation of individual foreign countries other than 'Italy)
- complete the university career by entering the world of work.
Admission
Access to the degree course is free (there is no limited number).
Students in possession of a high school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable can enroll in the degree course.
