Former head physician at the University Hospital of Bologna where from 1999 to 2007 he was Director of the Department of Internal Medicine, Aging and Nephrological Diseases.
Former officer of the European Region, International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics. (from 2003 to 2015).
He has carried out continuous teaching activities at an academic level from 1979 onwards. Specialist in Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
Author of over 300 publications, Co-author of Psychology and Gerontology and Fundamentals of Grontology; author of CURING THE ELDERLY.
Member of the editorial board of Journal of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Acta Biomedica
