In recent years, the focus on neurodevelopmental disorders has changed significantly. This has allowed, on the one hand, increasingly precise assessments thanks to the use of standardized tests and, on the other, the development of increasingly accurate individualized interventions, which have led to increasingly effective results and significant changes.
This change not only introduced targeted interventions to achieve goals and improve deficient skills, but also proved fundamental in promoting an improvement in the quality of life of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.
The main objective of this thesis is to analyze a clinical case whose picture is complex due to the co-occurrence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Specific Learning Disorder (SLD).
The main objectives are to describe the child's neuropsychological profile, highlighting cognitive and behavioral difficulties, examine the impact of the co-occurrence of ADHD and DSA, and present the project and intervention strategies used, with a particular focus on the most effective rehabilitation approaches for the selected case.
The first chapter introduces the definitions and characteristics of ADHD and learning disabilities, referencing diagnostic manuals. The second chapter presents and analyzes the clinical case, from the diagnostic process and assessment to the results obtained to date.
The rehabilitation process is also described, highlighting in particular the strategies implemented, the compensatory tools used, and the networking with the individuals involved.
The thesis emphasizes the importance of a structured and personalized rehabilitation program, based on the use of innovative strategies aimed at promoting not only improvements in learning but also an increase in the individual's quality of life.
