This paper explores the topic of Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) in the school and pedagogical context, with particular attention to educational inclusion and the use of technologies as compensatory tools.

The first chapter analyzes the definition and classification of SLD, with reference to the Italian regulatory framework, particularly Law 170/2010 and the MIUR Guidelines. It focuses on issues such as identification and diagnosis, the development of the Personalized Learning Plan (PDP), inclusive teaching strategies, the role of families and specialists, and the training of school staff. The importance of evaluating and monitoring inclusive programs is also highlighted. The role of the teacher, as a promoter of metacognitive and personalized teaching, is central.

The second chapter is dedicated to the use of technology in teaching, with a detailed overview of the most effective compensatory tools for each type of learning disability: dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthographia, and dyscalculia.

In conclusion, it is emphasized that an integrated and multidisciplinary approach, supported by ongoing training and synergy between schools, families, and specialists, is essential to ensuring equal learning opportunities and educational success for all students. This work is intended as an introductory and practical guide for teachers and educators, offering useful insights for addressing the complex yet challenging issue of inclusive education.
