A stroll through the historic center with the University of San Marino, to understand its places and secrets.

A series of itinerant meetings, led by engineer Gilberto Rossini, to observe and learn about the most characteristic places built within the walls of the historic center of Mount Titano.

This is the proposal of "Walking with your head held high," an initiative by the University of the Republic of San Marino, thanks to the impetus of the Civil Engineering Degree Programs, and in particular Professor Antonella Salvatori, to provide students and locals with the opportunity to rediscover the main areas of interest in the upper reaches of Mount San Marino. After the first event, last Friday, where participants listened to Rossini's words during a mini-tour starting at the Porta della Rupe, on Friday, October 21st, it will be the turn of Palazzo Pergami Belluzzi, home of the State Museum, with visits starting at 3:00 PM. The same time will be the schedule for the visit to the Basilica of San Marino, scheduled for Friday, October 28th.

"We want to invite students and San Marino residents to be attentive observers of what they see, seeking to develop a critical and informed perspective," says Salvatori, commenting on the initiative. "Thanks to Rossini's contribution, we will explore an interpretation of the urban and architectural text, starting from the urban scale down to the detail, attempting to understand how and why certain spaces, forms, and structures were created. Students will be invited to read the marks on the stones like words on the pages of a book, learning stories and processes, but above all, engaging with a sensitive, cognitive approach that is useful and valuable for their education."
