European Parliament Vice President Fabio Massimo Castaldo is among the speakers scheduled for the international summer school "The Future of Work," organized by the University of the Republic of San Marino and scheduled for October 7-9, in collaboration with the Jacques Maritain Institute in Rome.
The initiative will feature academics, experts, institutional representatives, and others, offering in-depth discussions that will address, among other things, the changes brought about by the advent of artificial intelligence, digitalization, and smart working. From analyses of work organization after the pandemic to debates on the role of governments and welfare, the proposed events will seek to offer a multidisciplinary reflection on the present and future prospects.
The last of the three days of events will also feature a session focused on the role of universities and education, with the participation of Isabella Bizzocchi, Director General of the University of San Marino; Leonardo Tagliente, Deputy Director of the Management Engineering degree programs; Franco Capicchioni, President of the San Marino National Industry Association (ANIS); and Paolo Maggioli, President of Confindustria Romagna. This will be followed by a closing address by Castaldo and Teodoro Lonfernini, Secretary of State for Labor in San Marino.
The meetings will take place in the university buildings of the former Courthouse, in the historic center, and in the World Trade Center in Dogana, on the third floor of Tower B.
The summer school is organized under the scientific coordination of Rector Corrado Petrocelli and Professor Luca Gorgolini for the University of San Marino, and Professors Gennaro Giuseppe Curcio and Giuseppe Schlitzer for the Jacques Maritain Institute.
