ANIS and the University of San Marino bring together businesses, faculty, and recent graduates to discuss research and career development.

A meeting between academics, industry representatives, and students will explore the possibilities of collaborating on research projects and career opportunities. The event, "University and Business: A Synergistic Challenge," will take place on Thursday, March 21st at the university campus of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, in the historic center of San Marino. Starting at 2:00 PM, a series of seminars and presentations will begin, made possible thanks to the collaboration between ANIS, the National Association of San Marino Industries, and the University of the Republic of San Marino. From the University, Karen Venturini, the coordinator, will explain the significance and objectives of an initiative that will feature, among others, the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, Marco Podeschi, ANIS President Neni Rossini, and the University Rector, Corrado Petrocelli.

An event that attracted around 100 participants in 2018 is being repeated: does this confirm the positive nature of the path undertaken?
Certainly, and it demonstrates the great interest among entrepreneurs in the University's research areas. In this sense, collaborations allow companies to aspire to a competitive advantage over their competitors through the development of ideas and new projects. The current increase in the number of requests we receive on this subject demonstrates the growing awareness among companies of these phenomena.

Focus on employment: what are the benefits for students on the one hand and businesses on the other?
One of the initiative's key events is the meeting between companies seeking qualified personnel and recent graduates in Civil Engineering, Management Engineering, and Design. Last year, I visited a fashion company in San Mauro Pascoli, with an increasingly large turnover, especially in international markets, and found three of our former Design students hired on permanent contracts. The entrepreneur reiterated the high level of knowledge and skills of our graduates. On March 21st, the students will present their resumes to the entrepreneurs, present their thesis projects, and begin to understand the companies' needs.

We'll also be talking about research projects: can you give us a sneak peek?
We will present the communication and strategic design projects developed for local communities and government agencies, as well as a trial of new materials used in construction engineering conducted in partnership with the Municipality of Rimini. We will also discuss the digital world and Industry 4.0, a current area where San Marino and its businesses can play a leading role.
I therefore extend an invitation to all interested companies to participate by registering through our website at this page.
