Becoming digital communication professionals in three years to quickly enter the world of work, with a wealth of knowledge, contacts and experience. This is the perspective offered by the new three-year degree course in Communication and Digital Media, managed by the University of the Republic of San Marino in partnership with the University of Bologna. The initiative will call teachers and professionals to the chair in a training program that includes lessons, workshops, testimonials and insights, for a path that combines the disciplines of communication with digital technologies, supporting an innovative training model, inspired by the most up-to-date US and European universities involving interdisciplinary teams of professors from both the humanities and computer sciences.
“Our goal is for the students to go to work immediately after the three-year period – explains Giovanna Cosenza, director of the program – in this course they will teach university professors, entrepreneurs, professionals and managers who work with digital media and networks. We will therefore involve both academics who have relationships with the labor market and representatives of the business world who have good classroom skills. The students will work in an atmosphere of continuous and reciprocal collaboration, followed by the teachers in small groups in which the practical and concrete application will be dominant».
Furthermore, maximum attention will be paid to the path that will characterize the students once the three-year period is over: «There are many professions in the world of digital media - says Cosenza - for example, positions as social media strategist, digital analyst and web designer. Companies need it more and more, even the most traditional ones. The labor market in this field is vast and has never known a crisis».
Entries will open tomorrow, July 20th.
There is room for 60 selected students.
