The Department of Economics, Science and Law (DESD) of the University of the Republic of San Marino organizes, for the academic year 2016/2017, the thirteenth edition of the annual first level Master in Criminology and forensic psychiatry. The course, activated in agreement with the Law Department of the Carlo Bo University of Urbino, provides for the issue of a joint degree, valid both in Italy and in the Republic of San Marino.
The Master aims to provide solid criminological preparation to those who work in the field of diagnosis and treatment of antisocial conduct, protection of the incapable, but also to those who carry out activities in the fields of prevention, social control and investigation. It also intends to provide the health, legal and security professions with a valid opportunity for professional training, through classroom teaching, seminars and internship periods in particularly representative structures. The master is aimed at all those who – in possession of a three-year degree – intend to deepen, in addition to the clinical and forensic psychiatric aspects, the issues related to applied criminology (criminal and security policies, forensic and criminalistic sciences, applied investigative techniques). The course is also aimed at those who need to deepen the aspects of clinical criminology aimed at evaluation and treatment in the forensic psychiatric field.
