In view of the February 26 ceremony, a word from the director of the Sammarinese Legal Institute, Paolo Pascucci
“Not just any jurist”. These are the first words spoken by Paolo Pascucci, director of the Law Institute of the University of the Republic of San Marino, to describe Gustavo Zagrebelsky, who will take the stage at the Kursaal Congress Centre on Wednesday 26 February for a lectio magistralis as part of the inauguration ceremony of the 2024-25 Academic Year of the University of San Marino.
A judge of the Italian Constitutional Court from 1995 to 2004, of which he was for a period the president, Zagrebelsky will offer a speech entitled 'In Praise of the Little One'. "The wait is great - admits Pascucci referring to the in-depth analysis of the professor emeritus of the University of Turin - because we will listen to a figure who in this historical period assumes a particular stature in light of the sensitivity shown for the fundamental rights of the person, which we often see violated".
The director of the Sammarinese Legal Institute refers to the dynamics that are characterizing the international context: "With various areas of the world crossed by conflicts, tensions and violence, the choice of the University of San Marino should be appreciated above all for this aspect. We are witnessing a historical phase in which there are scenarios that we are not yet able to adequately scrutinize. It is therefore right to have someone like Zagrebelsky speak".
During the event, starting at 15:XNUMX p.m., the Rector, Corrado Petrocelli, and the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, Teodoro Lonfernini, will also speak. Finally, there will be space for the degree course projects. Free admission.
