In the classroom examples of realities such as Nike and Dolce & Gabbana: "We are facing an innovation that will change the world as we know it"
Thirty-six hours of insights together with figures such as lawyers, artists, gallery owners, researchers, CEOs and teachers, including case studies, applications and mechanisms related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. This is the next workshop organized by the University of the Republic of San Marino, aimed at students of Management Engineering degree courses, in collaboration with San Marino Innovation.
With the aim of providing those enrolled in the three-year and master's programs with the tools necessary to learn about the perspectives and potential of the technologies involved, the five-day event starting on Monday 13 February in the headquarters of the World Trade Center in Dogana (tower B, third floor) will range between marketing and metaverse, crypto art and copyright, addressing the key aspects brought to the classroom by eight speakers selected by San Marino Innovation, a certifying body of innovative ideas which counts 89 high-tech companies in its ecosystem.
Among the speakers at the workshops will be Sara Noggler, CEO of Polyhedra, a company engaged in public relations: "We are facing an innovation that will change the world as we know it", she explains, describing the context she will bring to the classroom . “People will have to become aware users, as well as having the tools to decide whether to undertake projects involving these technologies in their professions or companies, whether small or large. During my speech - he continues - I will address the opportunities and risks involved, citing examples from brands such as Nike, Dolce & Gabbana and Telepass. In the future we could rely on these systems in purchases without even knowing it. However, there must be no barriers, but rather knowledge bases. We will be the only ones, among other things, to own our data and decide if and how to share them. An aspect on which there is a lot of debate”.
The significance of the workshops is also underlined by the teacher Karen Venturini, coordinator of the initiative: “Students – she said – will have the opportunity to practice with important digital innovations increasingly used in the world of work. In the classroom there will also be the founders of 10 startups of San Marino Innovation who, thanks to their managerial experience, have seized the opportunity to explore issues related to blockchain technology in order to transfer them to their own sector, thus increasing the innovative ecosystem of the territory."
An approach confirmed by the director of the degree course in Management Engineering, Leonardo Tagliente: "Through initiatives like this we adopt integrated and transversal teaching methodologies in order to develop the potential of our students to the maximum".
Finally, the director of San Marino Innovation, Michele Cervellini, says he is enthusiastic: "The collaboration between the University and our institute has consolidated more and more over the years and has led
in the area training initiatives aimed at deepening new technologies, addressing not only entrepreneurs but also students and citizens. The workshops represent a perfect example of this, combining training, the world of work and innovation, with the hope of creating new professional figures”.
