The professors and students of the PhD in Historical Sciences at the University of the Republic of San Marino are engaged in a new series of lessons entitled “Historiography and Diplomacy”.

Also in the chair is the former Italian diplomat Elena Basile, active in the past in countries such as Belgium and Sweden: she has addressed issues such as the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Space also for the figures of Niccolò Machiavelli and Francesco Guicciardini. Michele Chiaruzzi, professor at the University of Bologna and director of the Research Center for International Relations at the University of San Marino, curated a lesson yesterday entitled “Torquato Tasso and the figure of the ambassador”.

The in-depth analysis and activities will conclude next week: among others, the interventions of Franco Cardini, Maurice Aymard and Luciano Canfora are planned in the headquarters of the Ex Tribunale, in the historic center of the Titano in via Salita alla Rocca 44.
