The Captains Regent visited the University of San Marino. The Rector said, "The true and concrete face of our reality was revealed."

Courses, projects, research and other activities were illustrated to the heads of state this morning

Four campuses were visited, involving eight degree programs, along with research centers, doctoral programs, and other initiatives, presented by faculty, students, and staff members, accompanied by Rector Corrado Petrocelli and Director General Laura Gobbi. These were the highlights of the visit of the Captains Regent, Matteo Rossi and Lorenzo Bugli, to the University of the Republic of San Marino this morning.

Accompanied by the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, Teodoro Lonfernini, the heads of state were welcomed in the Dogana spaces, at Via Consiglio dei Sessanta 99, and in the three structures that, in the upper part of the Republic, complete the offering of areas dedicated to scholars and students: they include classrooms, laboratories, libraries, gardens, and offices.

The Captains Regent met with the people who make possible initiatives such as the degree programs in Management Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction and Land Management, Design and Communication, and Digital Media, which involve hundreds of students. They also met with the PhD program in Historical Studies, the Sammarinese Legal Institute, the Advanced School of Historical Studies, the Gramscian Studies Center, the Sammarinese Center for Historical Studies, the Emigration Research Center, the University Security Training Center, Usmaradio, and more.

"Welcoming the Supreme Judiciary is a significant opportunity, one we have capitalized on by engaging key figures across the University to showcase the real, concrete face of our institution, where students and faculty, young people and experts, collaborate in analyzing the ideas, projects, theories, and trajectories that shape our present and will influence our future across various disciplines," Petrocelli commented.

"The warmth and engagement with which we described the University's activities," Gobbi added, "conveyed the passion with which we daily approach our missions in research, education, and the positive impact of all this on a region with which we collaborate increasingly and of which we feel increasingly integral. Today's visit represents a new and pleasant confirmation of the attention paid by San Marino institutions to our University."

"I want to emphatically reiterate that the University is a strategic asset in which we must continue to invest," stated Lonfernini. "Promoting San Marino through the university programs it offers is, in my opinion, the best calling card we can present internationally. Alongside teaching and research, the University's interactions with society also play a central role, fostering its economic, cultural, and social development. This is an institutional responsibility that strengthens the bond between the University and the community, and one we intend to support wholeheartedly."
