Graphic designer and design theorist Riccardo Falcinelli will be the featured speaker at an event scheduled for Thursday, January 25th at 18:30 PM at the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, in the historic center of Mount Titano. Organized by the Design degree program at the University of the Republic of San Marino, the event is titled "How Color Has Changed Our Perspective" and will be an opportunity to introduce the author's latest work, "Cromorama," published in 2017 by Einaudi. It follows a series of essays exploring the relationship between design and perception. These include "Looking. Thinking. Designing. Neuroscience for Design" (Stampa alternativa & Graffiti, 2011); "Making Books" (Minimum Fax, 2011); and "Portable Critique of Visual Design" (Einaudi, 2014).
Falcinelli, former professor of basic and visual design at the Faculty of Industrial Design at Sapienza University of Rome and currently professor of Psychology of Perception at ISIA Roma Design, will close the current series of meetings with entrepreneurs, artists, and researchers, grouped under the title "Meetings on Design" and curated by the University of San Marino. Admission is free.
