A series of questions to be answered anonymously in 5 minutes: "This will create a map of cultural perception and consumption."
PARTICIPATE IN THE PROJECT BY COMPLETING THE QUESTIONNAIRE
An online questionnaire, which can be completed anonymously in about five minutes and will contribute to a research project on the perception of San Marino residents regarding the promotion of the island's cultural heritage, has been developed by the Design degree courses at the University of the Republic of San Marino and is now available on the Google Forms platform.
"The initiative," explains research group coordinator Margo Lengua, "is part of a process through which we intend to engage the people of San Marino to understand, in detail, which cultural assets are being well-recognized and which, instead, require further planning efforts. In this sense, the more people who respond to the questions, the more complete and accurate our analyses will be."
The scope of the analysis is broad, encompassing structures and symbols such as the Three Towers or the Palazzo Pubblico, as well as libraries, archaeological sites, nature trails, and more. "The intention," adds Anna Guerra of the research group, "is to understand whether those who live in the Republic are culturally active—for example, whether they go to the cinema or the theater, how often, and whether they think anything can be done to improve their experience, from all angles. This will create a map of the perception and consumption of cultural life among the people of San Marino."
The project involves a network of stakeholders including university professors, architects, academics, designers, doctoral students, and more. "Precisely with a view to supporting local institutions in developing systemic regeneration plans and processes," states the presentation of the project, launched this year, "we intend to propose the environmental complex of Mount Titano, with Borgo Maggiore, and in particular the historic center of San Marino, conceived as a small fortified city, representative of a State, as a privileged testing ground for both the theoretical and practical development of research."
