Off to "Cultura del fare", until May and on weekends, together with Design teachers
Learn to print on papers and fabrics using tools such as frames and acetate sheets, to create ceramic objects with 3D printers, or take photographs in the studio.
These are the opportunities offered by the first four events of micro courses “Culture of doing”, organized by the Design program of the University of the Republic of San Marino and open to all, on weekends, to share the teachers' knowledge and experiences in initiatives at the crossroads between craftsmanship and technology, manual skills and design.
In the spaces of the university headquarters of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, in the historic center of Titano, participants will be confronted with the techniques and processes that characterize each study until a final product is created, be it a personalized t-shirt, a particular object in ceramic or an elaborate series of photographs.
The program starts on 9 and 10 March with a basic screen printing course for a total of 12 hours of activity, in which it will come affrontacta path that will start from the knowledge of the equipment involved and will include, among other things, the creation of graphics, the engraving of the frame and the final print.
Two weeks later, on Saturday 23 March, a six-hour appointment on 3D ceramics which will begin with a general overview and then move on, among the various steps, to the characteristics of the mixtures, the development of volumes and the settings to take into consideration. deepening it will be repeated on Sunday 24 March.
A photography course will also be held on 6 and 7 April still-life divided into two days, in which participants will test themselves with lights and backgrounds by preparing a set and using different techniques and settings.
“This is a very important moment for us – explains the director of the Design degree course, Riccardo Varini – because it marks a further opening of the University towards the territory and its citizens, but not only, with a series of concrete and pragmatic appointments in the name of doing, also designed for those starting from scratch. We count on the enthusiasm and participation of our future students to make the most of the great professionalism of our teachers, who will make themselves available with the same passion that usually sees them engaged in the classrooms and laboratories together with the three-year students".
The activities will continue on a biweekly basis, from the weekend of 20 and 21 April, with three other short courses on the production of decorative objects and small containers in concrete, on illustration and binding, on laser cutting and engraving.
A maximum of ten participants are allowed for each appointment, with a cost ranging from 110 to 150 Euro.
