The University magazine, edited together with the students, dedicated an interview to Johanna Hilzendeg
“I arrived here and I'm happy about it, because I feel really good. Making new friends was very easy, and then everything is within reach and simple, from everyday chores to social life". This is the comment with which Johanna Hilzendeger, a student at the HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Art in Hildesheim, Germany, summarizes the period she is spending on the Titan as part of the Design degree course at the University of San Marino, which she has been attending since the first months of 2023.
His adventure, which will end at the end of June, is the focus of an interview recently published in the magazine of the University of the Republic of San Marino, edited together with the students. “There is always someone to lend you a hand,” explained the 25-year-old German. As described, the University staff offered her concrete support to deal with "the bureaucratic steps necessary to have this experience", for which the preparation involved, among other things, "Italian courses".
As for classroom activities, thumbs up especially for the "Communication Design Laboratory", concentrated "primarily on drawing. In addition to doing a lot of research – Hilzendeger said in the in-depth analysis, in which he also talks about his passion for photography – I'll have to deliver a lot of sketches and hand-drawn sketches, as well as a lot of computer work, even in 3D. It's a very practical project, that's why I like it”.
The initiative is part of the exchange activities with foreign universities which recently saw several students of the University of San Marino carry out periods of study and research in countries such as Iceland and the United States.
The University magazine, printed and online, takes readers on a discovery of the University of San Marino with an informal and direct approach, addressing hidden and sometimes surprising topics under the coordination of journalists and other professionals in the publishing scene.
