Two in-depth sessions dedicated to trusts, for a total of 35 hours of lessons, analyzing the dynamics present when assets and rights are entrusted to a trustee for administration.
This is the aim of the Courses on Trust Law at the University of the Republic of San Marino, an initiative that includes both a program for obtaining a professional trustee license and a refresher course for those already working in the sector. The first training course, scheduled for October 22nd to 24th, with the option of taking the qualifying exam at the end, includes an introduction to trust law and a detailed examination of the current regulations in San Marino. Topics include the rationale and types of trusts, the Hague Convention, fiduciary powers, and beneficiaries.
The refresher course scheduled for October 30th and 31st, designed to highlight the experiences of San Marino and non-San Marino experts on topics of professional relevance, will instead focus on areas such as the problematic aspects of Italian and San Marino taxation, as well as anti-money laundering and information exchange. The lectures will feature academics and professionals from Forlì, Turin, San Marino, and Genoa, as well as the Guardia di Finanza and the Special Unit of the Foreign Exchange Police.
