A performance that blends dance and words, in the intimacy of a small space, for a select audience. This is "Prove di abbandono," one of the shows included in the program of the Notte Bianca at the University of the Republic of San Marino on Friday, June 9th.
Taking place at 11:00 PM in the Aula Magna of the University, within the setting of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara in the historic center of Mount Titano, the show will be limited to 30 people (on a first-come, first-served basis) and will feature "a choreographic work that develops within the body, within the muscle groups, within the skeletal posture," explain Paola Bianchi and Ivan Fantini, the creators and protagonists of the performance. "A body in a closed, small space, a choreography of posture, of tension, a precise, minute choreography, focused on the particular, where the boundaries of the place of action are lost in the space of vision."
The University of San Marino's Notte Bianca (White Night) will offer free events from 15:30 PM until late at the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, the Emigrant Museum, the Titano Theater, and the State Museum. This year's theme is women's roles and sensibilities in fields such as science and the arts, brought together under the title "Mending the World." Events include debates, exhibitions, lectures, films, concerts, DJ sets, and more.
