Design for the enhancement of cultural heritage: a call for a research fellow at the University of San Marino

The University of the Republic of San Marino has opened the selections for the identification of a figure who will deal with research on the enhancement of cultural heritage through the creation and experimentation of experiences and visit itineraries. The Scope: Experience Exhibit Design.

The initiative, which falls within the framework of the master's degree course in Design, will give continuity to a path that in recent years has led to a series of projects that have involved, among others, a research included in the 2016 - 2018 Museum Plan of the Emilia – Romagna Region and the Titano Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art.

The activity, reads the announcement, will be “aimed at evaluating the state of the art of the interactive exhibition environment with the aim of defining design directions to be applied to real situations. A place of conservation, even the museum, a historically paradigmatic example, has increasingly become a complex communication system developed around the people involved. In this context, the role of the design of interaction, experience, information and sound has become central”.

The research grant will last for one year. The selection, open until 18 January 2021, can be attended by people aged no more than 35, holding a master's degree in Design or similar sectors, with no citizenship or residence restrictions.

On the other hand, the deadline for applying for an annual scholarship for a tutor in charge of supporting activities such as internships, placements and relations with schools within the three-year and master's degree programs in Management Engineering will expire on 1 February.
