Sixteen students from cities including Milan, Ravenna, Bari, and Bologna are participating in the thirteenth edition of the University of the Republic of San Marino's English and Computer Science Campus, aimed at students with specific learning disabilities, manifested by the inability to read and write correctly and fluently. Running from June 24th to July 1st, the initiative includes over 350 hours of activities through a program that aims to enhance participants' oral English skills and raise awareness of students' positive traits and strengths, thus boosting their self-esteem.
Divided into educational workshops and experiential activities, the campus includes the use of IT tools and daily life simulations with games and itinerant situations organized in the historic center of San Marino.
In addition to four professors involved in the workshops and other activities, the initiative's scientific directors include Giacomo Stella, professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and director of the Master's program in Specific Learning Disorders offered by the University of San Marino, and Enrico Savelli, developmental clinical psychologist at the Rimini Local Health Authority.
