Two public meetings and a performance to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the "Theater and Citizenship" project, featuring cultural offerings and educational reflections.

Ten years after the launch of the "Theater and Citizenship" project, the University of the Republic of San Marino is reviewing its achievements with a day of public meetings and performances. This day coincides with the launch of the new "Theater and Citizenship Research and Teaching Center," managed by the University of San Marino's Department of Human Sciences. Its objectives include the dissemination of theater culture through projects, workshops, conferences, seminars, publications, and training activities, with the possibility of partnering with leading institutions in the schools, education, social and healthcare sectors, and beyond.

On November 8th, thanks to the collaboration with the Cultural Institutes, two public events are scheduled, starting at 3:00 PM. They will explore theater, schools, and the local community in the Aula Magna of the Ancient Monastery of Santa Chiara, in the historic center of Titano. The events will build up to the final performance, which will feature Ascanio Celestini and Giuliana Musso on the stage of the Titano Theater at 9:00 PM with a performance titled "Potente e Fragile."

The afternoon's events will involve representatives from the University of San Marino's Department of Human Sciences, cultural institutes, the Start.tip cultural association, the Sammarinese Music Institute, the University Theatre Center of Ferrara, the Teatro dell'Argine Company of San Lazzaro di Savena, Gommalacca Teatro of Potenza, and the Laura Betti Theatre of Casalecchio di Reno. Two in-depth sessions will be held: "When Projects Generate Innovation: 10 Years of the Theatre and Citizenship Project" and "Re-Existing Theatres and Communities: Practicing Dreams in Local Areas."

The study day, titled "Cultural Communities: Reflections on Theater, School, and the Local Area," represents the first step of the new research center and a summary of the "Theater and Citizenship" project, which, in addition to initiatives such as advanced training courses and summer schools, has curated festivals such as the "Democratic Citizenship Theater Festival" and "Diversiàmoci," which in its latest edition attracted nearly 2 students.
