The emancipation of disabled people in the Gaza Strip and El Salvador: a seminar at the University of San Marino discusses this issue.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6th, the event will take place in the Montelupo Hall in Domagnano.

How can we support and promote the empowerment of people with disabilities, ensuring they are considered full subjects of rights and not merely beneficiaries? To answer this question, the University of the Republic of San Marino will begin by analyzing two complex contexts characterized by poverty, inequality, and conflicts of various kinds: El Salvador, in Central America, and the Gaza Strip, in the Middle East.

As part of a seminar entitled "Disability and Self-Determination," scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6th, in the Montelupo Hall in Domagnano, the University has scheduled a series of reflections by eight figures involved at various levels in this field, including activists, humanitarian workers, representatives of organizations working in the sector, and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).

The meeting, organized by the Department of Human Sciences, will be coordinated by Arianna Taddei, a professor at the University of San Marino. Contributions will also be provided by Riccardo Sirri, Giulia Trobbiani, and Yousef Hamdouna of Educaid, Giampiero Griffo and Flavia Saraceni of the Italian Disability and Development Network, Francesca Romana Trisciuzzi of the Italian Association of Integrative and Social Sciences (AICS), and Silvia Charlotte Rowe of PuntoSud, along with Marta Migliosi. The event will be introduced by Laura Gobbi, Director General of the University of San Marino, and Davide Martina of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The seminar, which will conclude at 6:00 p.m., is sponsored by the University of San Marino's teaching qualification course for schools in San Marino.
