The future of post-pandemic international relations at an international summer school at the University of San Marino

Academics, leaders of the Italian Anti-Mafia Investigative Directorate, journalists, and institutional representatives will participate in the International Summer School "Politics, Economics, and International Relations: What Future After the Pandemic?", scheduled for September 10-12, organized by the University of the Republic of San Marino and the Jacques Maritain International Institute in Rome.

The three-day conference, which will be held online and organized by the Department of History for the University of San Marino, will address topics such as current developments in international cooperation and urban security, with discussions that will outline hypotheses for the future from legal, philosophical, and other perspectives.

“Last September, at the invitation of the Rector of the University of San Marino, Corrado Petrocelli, I attended the ceremony awarding the 'Assisi Pax' Golden Palm to the Republic of San Marino,” recalls Giuseppe Schlitzer, Deputy Vice President of the Jacques Maritain International Institute. “Since our institution is strongly committed to the theme of peace, I had the opportunity to appreciate the value of that coveted recognition. So I made a promise: to bring the International Summer School to San Marino in 2020. Today, I am delighted and extremely proud to have fulfilled that commitment. A valuable and fruitful collaboration has been established with the University of San Marino. The theme chosen for the eighth edition of the Summer School is far-reaching: we invite speakers and students to question the future of the globalized world after the escalation of trade wars and armed conflicts, and the onset of the most serious health crisis in living memory.”
